Hector Estevez
A six-degree black belt in Judo and member of the International Judo Federation, Hector Estevez infuses his position as Administrator of Leon Medical Centers’ East Hialeah Center with discipline, respect, and humility.

An industry veteran, Hector joined Leon Medical Centers in February 2009. Previously he was an Executive Business Manager at Merck and Co., a pharmaceutical company where he held numerous leadership positions during his 20-year tenure.

He is most inspired by the institution’s mission and spends time with patients on a daily basis always putting their needs first.

Hector earned his degree from Florida International University. He is married to his wife, Zaida and has two children, Jessica and Alex, and is now also a proud grandfather to grandson, Lucas.

By the time Leon Medical Centers opened its third medical center in October 1997 in East Hialeah at 445 E 25th Street, it had already built a reputation for providing the highest level of healthcare services to the Medicare population in the county. The new center in Hialeah brings much-needed medical services to a community whose growth had outpaced that of the healthcare delivery system.

The East Hialeah Center offers Leon Medical Centers’ famed primary care, specialist care, laboratory, physical therapy, dental, urgent care, a Healthy Living Center and a plethora of other medical services to the Hispanic Medicare community. In 2017, the renovated East Hialeah Campus was unveiled, offering a unique and innovative design for Leon Medical Centers. The two buildings of the East Hialeah Campus allow for ample space to provide top-notch healthcare services using the latest medical advances, while being sensitive to the cultural nuances and unique needs of its patients.

The additional building will also house the Women’s Center where the most advanced diagnoses will be offered including tri-dimensional mammograms, breast ultrasound, bone density tests and MRI, among others.
