Nephrology

Your kidneys are small organs, but they have a big job to do. That includes removing waste products from your blood and making the hormones that help control blood pressure and keep your bones strong. When something goes wrong with a kidney, it can affect the whole body.

At Leon Medical Centers, we want to make sure you have the right care to keep your kidneys going strong.

When you’re a patient at Leon Medical Centers, it’s easy for you to see one of our contracted specialists on-site. The nephrology (kidney) doctors and contracted specialists, include board-certified doctors who are experienced and compassionate. You’ll be treated with the highest level of respect and kindness.

Fast and Easy Appointments

If you choose, we’re happy to drive you to and from your appointment free of charge. We’ll pick you up and take you home even if you’re in a wheelchair or need a stretcher.

After your primary care doctor makes a referral, you can usually see a nephrology doctor within 3 to 4 days. This is much faster than other healthcare providers that often make you wait 2 months to see a specialist.

If you need imaging or lab tests, you can usually have them done within 24 to 48 hours at Leon. You don’t have to leave our centers to get the tests you need.
