Orthopedics

A lifetime of wear and tear can wreak havoc on your joints. Pain or mobility (movement) problems that come with aging or an active lifestyle shouldn’t sideline you from doing the things you love.

At Leon Medical Centers, the orthopedic doctors and contracted specialists include board-certified orthopedic surgeons dedicated to bringing your body back to good health. You may receive all your orthopedic care in one place from physicians who have one goal: to help you live the most active, pain-free life you can enjoy.

Your joint function and mobility matter to us, and so does making sure you have the most comfortable experience. You’ll have our signature white-glove service from the moment you arrive. Everyone at Leon treats you like family — from the doorman who greets you to the doctor who treats you. Our mission is to make every visit with us as smooth as possible.

If you choose, we’re happy to drive you to and from your appointment free of charge.

Conditions We Treat

We treat a wide range of common and complex orthopedic injuries. These include:

  • Bone fractures
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Ligament and tendon sprains, strains and tears
  • Joint deterioration
  • Joint pain (including arthritis and bursitis)
  • Trigger finger (stenosing tenosynovitis)

If you need it, the orthopedics team will partner with the neurosurgery team to treat lumbar and cervical spine issues. The orthopedics doctors and contracted specialists also work very closely with other physician groups to treat shoulder injuries, and with the podiatry specialists to care for foot and ankle problems.

On-site Testing and Treatment

All of your care at Leon Medical Centers is coordinated and seamless. Communication is key. The orthopedics doctors and contracted specialists coordinate with other departments and services at Leon Medical Centers to offer on-site diagnostic testing and the most advanced treatments for orthopedic conditions.

You’ll have a full range of treatment choices for bone, joint, tendon and ligament injuries. These include:

  • Injection therapy, including platelet-rich plasma therapy
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation
  • Minimally invasive and traditional surgery
  • Traditional pain management

You Have Choices for Joint Replacement

Let’s get you moving with expert surgical solutions that can help you enjoy comfortable living once again. Leon Medical Centers’ orthopedic surgeons and contracted specialists are trained in total joint reconstruction and total joint replacement. If you need knee or hip replacement, the orthopedic surgeons and contracted specialists offer the latest surgical choices.

If you’re looking for a quicker recovery right after hip replacement surgery, the doctors and contracted specialists offer the direct anterior approach (surgery at the front of the hip). This surgery is offered along with posterior (surgery at the back of the hip) and direct lateral approach (surgery at the side of the hip).
